Nemasys Vine Weevil Killer is a well-known biological control used by gardeners to target vine weevil larvae feeding in soil and compost.

Vine weevil larvae can cause serious damage to container plants and ornamental beds by feeding on plant roots below the surface. Using beneficial nematodes helps control the pest naturally without chemicals.

How Nemasys Vine Weevil Killer Works

This treatment contains beneficial nematodes that search through the soil for vine weevil larvae. Once a larva is located, the nematodes infect the pest and multiply inside it, stopping further feeding and helping reduce the population.

Signs of Vine Weevil Damage

Common symptoms include:

  • Plants wilting despite regular watering
  • Leaves turning yellow or weak
  • Plants collapsing unexpectedly
  • Root damage visible when repotting

How To Use

Instructions for use:

1. Dissolve the entire contents of the pack in a bucket containing 1.5 litres of water to create a stock solution. 
2. Stir vigorously and immediately take 0.5 litre of the stock solution, add to a 5 litre watering can fitted with a very coarse rose and fill with water.
3. Apply the solution to a third of the soil area to be treated.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the whole area is treated.
5. Water the treated area after application.
6. This pack fills 3 watering cans of 5 litres and treats up to 12m2.

 

Also easily applied with a miracle grow hose end nematode applicator.
