Bayliss XL Autovent Replacment Cylinder

The XL autovent replacement cylinder tube is a wax filled component used in automatic greenhouse window openers. It replaces the original tube when performance reduces over time.

As temperature rises inside the greenhouse, the wax expands and pushes the piston outward. This movement opens the window gradually to release excess heat.

It is designed to fit into the existing tube socket of compatible XL autovent systems.

How The XL Greenhouse Window Opener Tube Works

The XL wax tube reacts naturally to changes in greenhouse temperature. Heat causes the wax to expand, pushing the power tube outward.

When the air cools, the wax contracts and the window closes again. This cycle repeats daily without electricity or manual input.

The opening temperature is controlled by the autovent adjustment rather than the tube itself.

Replacing The XL Autovent Cylinder Tube

The XL tube is easily replaced using the existing spring clip. The clip is removed from the tube socket and power tube end.

Once removed, the old tube slides out and the new XL tube is inserted into position. The spring clip is then refitted to secure the tube.

After replacement, the unit can be reinstalled on the window following the original fitting instructions.
