Plastic Ground Spike For 19mm Tubes

The ground spike is a black UV-stabilised nylon fitting designed for use with 19mm (¾ inch) diameter aluminium tubing, commonly used in fruit cage construction. This pointed insert is designed to keep soil out of the tubing while allowing smooth insertion of support poles into the ground.

The spike measures 19mm at the base and tapers to a point, forming a secure interference fit with standard aluminium tubing. Its purpose is twofold: it helps prevent soil from compacting inside the poles, and it makes it easier to drive the poles into the ground without excessive force. By displacing soil during insertion, it streamlines the setup process and keeps the interior of the tubing clean.
