The NemaTop Adult Vine Weevil Trap is designed to control adult black vine weevils. It contains 2.5 million insect-pathogenic nematodes (Steinernema carpocapsae) in a gel formulation pressed into grooves of a specially designed wooden board. This trap targets adult black vine weevils and provides a biological method to control these nocturnal pests beneath your plants.

NemaTop Adult Vine Weevil Trap For Biological Black Vine Weevil Control

Black vine weevils hide during the day, and the NemaTop trap uses this behaviour to deliver nematodes directly to the insect. Placed face down on the ground, the board allows adult weevils to crawl beneath, where the microscopic nematodes penetrate and stop the weevil from feeding.

Vine Weevil Trap For Gardens Hedges And Plant Areas

This trap treats up to 10 square metres or 5 metres of hedging. It is ideal for garden areas with adult vine weevil activity. The trap is effective for approximately six weeks after placement, giving extended coverage during the peak season of June to September.

NemaTop Vine Weevil Trap For Easy Garden Placement

The wooden boards are simple to position directly on the soil beneath plants. The gel embedded nematodes are pressed into the grooves, providing even coverage where adult beetles hide. This allows a straightforward approach to targeting pests without disrupting the garden.

Select the week you require the trap and add it to your basket for seasonal use. The trap is designed for live nematodes and has an expiry date of approximately two weeks. This product is non returnable due to its live nature.

Garden Vine Weevil Trap For Sustainable Insect Control

The trap provides a biological method for controlling black vine weevils beneath plants. Adult weevils are controlled naturally as the nematodes penetrate them, stopping feeding and reducing damage to garden plants and hedges.

NemaTop Adult Vine Weevil Trap For Continuous Garden Protection

Each trap lasts around six weeks, providing ongoing protection for your plants. Replacing the trap seasonally ensures the nematodes continue to target adult weevils and reduce their population during peak activity months.

How Do I Position The NemaTop Adult Vine Weevil Trap?

Place the wooden board face down directly on soil beneath affected plants or hedging. Adult weevils will crawl under the board where the nematodes are located.

How Long Does Each Vine Weevil Trap Last?

Each trap provides control for approximately six weeks, ensuring ongoing protection against adult vine weevils in the garden.

What Area Can One Trap Cover?

Each trap treats an area of up to 10 square metres or 5 metres of hedging, making it suitable for small to medium garden spaces.

When Is The Best Time To Apply The Trap?

The traps are most effective from June to September, which corresponds with peak adult vine weevil activity in the garden.

Can I Return The NemaTop Adult Vine Weevil Trap?

No, this is a live product with an expiry date of around two weeks and is non returnable. Ensure the week selected for delivery matches your planned use.

How Do The Nematodes Work To Control Vine Weevils?

The microscopic nematodes penetrate adult weevils hiding under the trap board. Once infected, the weevils stop feeding and die out of sight, reducing plant damage naturally.

How To Use

How to Use a Nematop Trap: Remove the NemaTop trap from the packaging. If the gel falls away from the grooves, gently spray it lightly with water until the gel swells and fits into the grooves again.

Open Soil: Lay the trap on the soil with the gel containing grooves face down near vulnerable plants. If the soil is very dry, please water it before use. If possible, lay the NemaTop in the shade under the plants. Keep the board moist (rain or casual watering of the plants are sufficient for this purpose).

Potted plants: If the container is big enough, the NemaTop should be placed on top of the soil surface.

Do not use chemical insecticides during the use of biological controls. After use of the NemaTop, it can be disposed of just like any waste wood.
