Our dovecote nest box is a unique and stylish birdhouse that is perfect for small bird species such as bluetits. This bird nest box is designed in the classic style of a traditional dovecote, with a handmade timber shingled roof and black steel hoops for added stability. The white finial on top of the roof adds an extra touch of elegance.
The nest box features a keyhole slot for easy hanging and an opening back for easy annual cleaning. Made from FSC-certified timber, this birdhouse is not only strong and sturdy, but also environmentally friendly. The water-based white paint finish is easy to maintain, simply reapply annually for a polished look.
For the best results, we recommend sitting in the dovecote nest box with the hole facing north or northeast, away from the prevailing weather conditions. It should be placed at least 1.5m to 2m above the ground on a tree, wall, fence, or building and away from easy access by predators.
