A fun and interactive way for children to learn about growing plants from seeds. Everything you need to know about growing these quirky egg heads is included, just add an eggshell, kitchen towel or cotton wool and water.
Children can create an ‘Egg Head’, sow the seeds into eggshells with faces and watch the ‘hair’ grow.
A great gift for children of all ages but especially children aged 7-12 years as it supports key stage 2 lessons.

How long does it take cress to grow from seed
Cress grows extremely quickly. You will start to see the seeds sprout from as little as 24 hours to a few days. After 7 days, the cress seed should have grown to be a few centimetres high and is then ready to eat.
Remember to always keep the cress moist as it grows.

Please note: Eggshells not included.

How To Use

How to sow and grow
Step 1: Sow seeds indoors all year round. Draw a face on an empty shell. Place a layer of damp cotton wool or kitchen towel inside and sprinkle cress seeds on top.
Step 2: Place your cress seeds in their ‘Egg Head’ somewhere warm such as a windowsill.
Step 3: Make sure the cotton wool or kitchen towel is always kept moist for the seeds to germinate.
Step 4: Cut the cress with scissors when grown to around 5cm tall.
Step 5: Eat and enjoy, your own fresh cress.
