Dimensions and construction

Once assembled, the cages stand 1.2m high (3ft 11in) and include full instructions, diagrams, and a contents list.

The 16mm aluminium uprights (legs) are inserted 300mm into the ground. Each upright measures 1500mm (4ft 11in) in total length.

The 13mm crossbars are connected to the uprights using either Build-a-Balls or joiners, creating a strong and stable frame.

The netting is simply draped over the cage and secured with pegs. It is not permanently attached, making it easier to remove and refit, especially on larger cages.

The protective netting not only keeps out birds and insect pests, but also provides slight wind resistance, helping crops grow stronger and healthier.

The covers are not fixed to the frame, allowing easy access for watering, harvesting, and general maintenance.
