Amblyseius cucumeris is a predatory mite commonly used in biological pest control to target thrips and other small insect pests. Ideal for use in greenhouses and gardens.
- Effective against thrips larvae, Western Flower thrips, onion thrips as well as spider mites and other soft-bodied pests.
- Suitable for ornamental plants, vegetables, and fruit crops.
- Safe for humans, pets, and beneficial insects like bees and ladybirds.
- Supplied in containers designed for simple distribution onto plants.
- Best performance in warm and humid conditions (minimum 12°C).
Can survive off pollens in the absence of thrips. Always use preventatively on peppers, cucumbers, pot and bedding plants, strawberries and cyclamen.
Mites will move across an area of approx. 1.5 metres depending on the environment and food availability.
Dose rate: 50 - 250 mites per m² .
Repeat fortnightly dependent on monitoring and conditions.

Keep containers horizontal and cool until use.
Do not expose to direct sunlight at any time.
Immediately before opening, gently rotate the container to distribute mites evenly throughout the carrier material.
Open each container in the crop when ready to use.
Shake small quantities of Swirskii onto the crop near flowers.
Use product within 18 hours of receipt.
Requires approximately temperatures of 12°C at night and 15°C in the day.
