Leatherjacket Nematodes 500 sq.m Lawn Treatment
Leatherjacket Nematodes 500 sq.m Lawn Treatment is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This large pack of leatherjacket nematodes is designed for treating bigger lawns or areas with more severe leatherjacket infestations. Leatherjackets are the larvae of crane flies (often called daddy-long-legs) and they feed on grass roots beneath the soil surface, which can lead to yellow patches, thinning turf and weak lawns.
If you are treating a smaller lawn, see our Leatherjacket Nematodes 100 sq.m pack.
How leatherjackets damage lawns
Leatherjackets live below the soil surface and feed on the roots of grass plants. As the roots are eaten, lawns may become patchy or weak and the turf may lift easily from the soil. Birds often peck at affected areas as they search for the larvae.
How leatherjacket nematodes work
When applied with water, the microscopic nematodes move through moist soil and actively seek out leatherjacket larvae. This natural biological process helps reduce larval activity and supports the recovery of healthy grass roots.
