Aerobin 600L Hot Garden Composter
This 600 litre hot garden composter is built for year round outdoor use in almost all climates. The enclosed structure keeps compost tightly compact to retain heat while supporting healthy aerobic composting conditions.
No Turn Hot Garden Composter With Internal Lung System
The integrated internal lung removes the need to turn compost manually. Airflow is directed through the centre of the bin, maintaining oxygen levels for decomposer microorganisms that break down waste efficiently.
Thick insulation helps maintain high internal temperatures so compost can be ready in approximately 90 days. The moisture recirculation system supports consistent humidity, helping microorganisms extract nitrogen and carbon from waste.
Aerobin Hot Composter Producing Compost And Liquid Fertiliser
Liquid fertiliser, also known as leachate, typically begins collecting within 4 to 6 weeks. Compost starts forming at the base within 8 to 12 weeks. A hose extension kit is included for easier leachate extraction.

Problem solving:
Problem:
When too wet:
- Compost not heating up
- Bad smell
- Not decomposing well
Solution:
- Take out the material and add back in with layers of dry, brown, garden material (leaves, sawdust, wood shavings).
Newspaper (if scrunched up/shredded) counts as brown material and will help.
If larger leaves and garden material not decomposing, shred into smaller pieces.
Problem:
When too dry:
- Not decomposing
Solution:
- Take out the material, and start the process again. Take care to layer, dry brown garden materials between wet, green materials (grass, kitchen scraps, other plant material).
- If compost is too dry, it becomes water repellent and is difficult to re-wet.
- Avoid putting dry garden materials in hot bin, unless mixed or moistened with wet, green materials.
Problem:
Insects
- Garden compost hot bin attracting insects
Solution:
- It is normal to have flies and small insects in and around the hot garden compost bin. They are a natural part of decomposition.
If these insects are annoying, cover with shredded paper, grass clippings or use a pyrethrum spray.
