Crop Bar Support Kits for Polytunnels

Crop bar kits provide additional support inside a polytunnel and create useful fixing points for training and supporting plants. Installed across the hoops above head height, they allow gardeners to suspend wires, canes, netting or hanging baskets to help manage crops as they grow.

These crop bars are manufactured from galvanised steel and are designed for use with compatible polytunnel structures. Once fitted, they run across the width of the tunnel and provide a strong overhead support system that can be used for tying in tomatoes, cucumbers and other climbing plants.

In addition to providing hanging points for crops and equipment, crop bars can also help improve the overall rigidity of the tunnel frame. This additional bracing can be particularly useful in exposed gardens or areas that experience stronger winds.

Crop Bar Kit Contents

Kits are supplied with a sufficient number of bars to install across each internal hoop of the tunnel, excluding the two end hoops where doors and framing are located.

Installation Notes

Crop bars are fitted between the hoops of the polytunnel above head height. This positioning keeps the growing area clear while still providing a strong support point for crops and accessories.

Please note that tunnel length can affect the number of bars that can be installed. For example, shorter tunnels such as 15ft models typically accommodate a maximum of two crop bars because they cannot be fitted on the first or final hoops.
