Easy to Use

Coir pellets provide a simple way to start plants without filling individual pots or cells with loose growing medium. Place the compressed pellet in a suitable tray or container, add water and allow it to absorb the moisture and fully expand.

Once expanded, the coir creates a growing plug ready for sowing seeds, inserting cuttings or growing young plants.

RHP-Certified Coir

The pellets are made using an RHP-certified coco substrate and are manufactured in Sri Lanka using coir produced as a by-product of the coconut industry. The coir is contained within netting, helping the expanded plug retain its shape while providing a well-aerated environment for developing roots.

Two Sizes Available

Choose between two pellet sizes depending on your propagation requirements. Please note that the larger dimensions shown below are the approximate dimensions once the pellets have been moistened and expanded.

• 35mm x 38mm pellet: approximately 35mm high x 38mm wide once moistened. Compressed size: approximately 15mm high x 30mm wide.
• 50mm x 45mm pellet: approximately 50mm high x 45mm wide once moistened. Compressed size: approximately 15mm high x 40mm wide.

How to Use Coir Pellets

1. Place the compressed coir pellet in a suitable tray or container.
2. Add water and allow the pellet to absorb the moisture.
3. Wait for the pellet to fully expand.
4. Sow your seed, insert your cutting or add your young plant to the expanded coir.
5. Keep the coir appropriately moist while the plant establishes.
