What is the Vitopod Propagator?

The Vitopod Heated Propagator, awarded BBC Gardeners World 'Best Buy' and Grow Your Own magazine 'Most Innovative Product', provides precise temperature control for seed starting, cuttings, and overwintering plants. Made from recycled, UV-resistant acrylic, it offers professional-grade growing conditions.

Temperature Control System

The digital thermostat allows 1°C increments between 5°C and 30°C. A soil temperature probe triggers heat supply based on actual soil conditions, ensuring energy efficiency. The base provides even heat distribution, eliminating hot and cold spots.

Height Extension System

Both models accept height extension kits, each adding 15cm (6in). Extensions can be stacked up to 11 layers high with a stabilising notch system. This feature allows the unit to function as a mini greenhouse for tall plants or overwintering.

LED Growing Light Systems

Installation requirements:

• Lights must be parallel.
• Maximum 23cm spacing between lights.
• Requires smooth, glossy surface for suction cup mounting.
• Centralised positioning on the cover.
