Rapid Rootrainer Plant Propagator For Strong Root Growth
Rootrainers are designed to support strong root structure, which is essential for healthy plant development. The internal grooves allow roots to grow outward rather than forming tight root balls.
Rapid Rootrainer Cells Designed For Bedding Plants And Cuttings
Each Rapid Rootrainer cell has a depth of eight centimetres, making it suitable for bedding plant, container plant, salad plant and herb propagation. This depth is also commonly chosen for softwood cutting.
Rapid Rootrainer Book Opening Cells For Easy Replanting
Each Rootrainer opens like a book, allowing plants to be removed without pulling or twisting roots. This design also allows visual inspection of moisture levels and root progress during growth.
Rapid Rootrainer Propagator Pack Contents And Layout
Each pack includes one holding tray, eight books forming thirty two individual cells, and one clear propagating lid. The layout allows multiple plant varieties to be grown at the same time.
Rapid Rootrainer Plant Propagator Size And Material
The Rapid Rootrainer unit measures thirty six centimetres long, twenty two centimetres wide and nine centimetres deep, with a cell depth of eight centimetres. It is made from seventy percent recycled plastic and can be recycled after use.
Rapid Rootrainers
Rootrainers are widely used by gardeners for early stage propagation where root structure is a priority. The combination of guided root growth, inspection access and controlled transplanting supports consistent results when used with standard growing methods.
Can Rapid Rootrainers Be Used Outdoors
They are commonly used in greenhouses and sheltered areas, though placement depends on weather conditions and plant type.
Do Rapid Rootrainers Require A Heat Source
The product information does not specify heating, so any heat source would be chosen separately based on growing conditions.
How Should Rapid Rootrainers Be Cleaned After Use
Growers often remove compost residue and wash trays and cells before storing.
Do Rapid Rootrainers Stack For Storage
The supplied tray and book style cells allow compact storage when not in use.
Deep rootrainers are also available.

How To Use
How To Use
How to use the Rootrainers:
Fold books in half and place all books one by one tightly together in the tray, then lightly dampen.
Using good multipurpose moist compost – pile compost over tray and brush it into side and corner cells.
Give tray a bump to settle compost into the bottom of the cells. Top up if necessary.
Brush off any excess compost to reveal the cell tops
Add a little water
Air Pruning:
The first roots race down the special grooves and quickly emerge through the drainage holes. The tips die off naturally causing masses of side roots to develop higher in the cell. This results in a super root system all set to feed a perfect plant.
