This nematode applicator allows you to apply nematodes quickly and efficiently and also to feed plants across borders, beds, containers, hanging baskets and lawns. The chamber holds up to 500g of soluble plant food and connects to any standard hose to deliver feed and water together.

How To Use

For use with nematodes:

These instructions apply to all pack sizes up to 100m2 in the Nemasys Home &
Garden range (excluding Nemasys Vine Weevil Killer 12m 2 pack and Nemasys Caterpillar
and Codling Moth Killer).

Please note however the different application timings in point 4 when applying to lawns.

Wash the feeder with water to ensure it is clean. Add the entire contents of the pack to the bowl of the feeder, then fill the bowl with water and stir to mix thoroughly.

Attach the hose taking care to keep the feeder in an upright position, and apply evenly to the whole of the area for a timed period, using a side-to-side motion to keep the nematodes well mixed. During this time most of the nematodes will have been applied.

 

Variable spray Miracle-Gro Feeder with spray set to ‘flat’ – for 5 minutes.
Fixed spray Miracle-Gro Feeder – for 8 minutes.

Treat the same area again for a further 8 minutes (or 16 minutes for lawn applications) to apply the remaining nematodes as well as to make sure they are adequately watered. Applications to lawns require more water to ensure the nematodes are washed through the grass thatch.

Adhering strictly to the application timings will ensure that any remaining colour in the bowl will be due to the inert carrier only and that you have performed an even application.

This method provides a simple and effective application, however, it is important to follow the instructions exactly to obtain even coverage.

 

Only the Miracle-Gro® Feeder is recommended for use with this method.

 

 

For use as a garden feeder:

 

Step 1: Fill the jar with a water-soluble plant food, following label instructions on dosage levels.
Step 2: Attach the feeder to the hose and turn on the water.
Step 3: Squeeze trigger, once the jar has filled with water it will start feeding. In 12 minutes it will have covered 500 square feet of garden with 50 gallons of solution.

 

REMINDER: if you choose to stop feeding before all of the plant food in the Garden Feeder has been depleted, the solution can be stored in liquid form and be used during the next feeding.
