Premium Cedar Wooden Raised Beds

Our Premium Red Cedar raised bed range is made from red cedar sourced from the New Forest and produced exclusively for Gardening Naturally by a small family business. The timber is supplied untreated and prepared for outdoor use, where it is exposed to weather and moisture throughout the year.

The beds are designed with a flat trim along the top edge, creating a clean, defined planting area while providing a practical surface around the perimeter of the bed.

Premium red cedar wooden raised beds with flat top trim

Manufactured from solid red cedar timber selected for long term outdoor use, these raised beds create a stable and clearly defined growing area. Each board measures 14.5cm in height and 3.2cm in thickness, and is planed to produce a smooth, even surface.

Flat edge finish for a defined growing area

The flat top trim forms a structured border around the upper edge of the bed. This helps clearly frame the planting space while giving the bed a neat, substantial outline once assembled.

Untreated cedar for outdoor garden use

The cedar timber is supplied untreated. Red cedar has natural resistance to decay and rot, allowing it to outlast many pressure treated alternatives. It is also less attractive to insects, reducing reliance on chemical treatments in the garden.

Complete wooden raised bed kit with fixings

Each raised bed kit includes cedar boards, internal corner fixing posts, galvanised screws and full assembly instructions. The modular design allows beds to be assembled to the required size and height.

Assembly information

The boards are not pre drilled and require an electric drill during installation. This allows accurate alignment during assembly and adjustment to suit the final layout.

The raised bed height refers to the boards plus an additional 30mm trim height.

Total external height

145 mm bed + 30 mm trim = 175 mm
290 mm bed + 30 mm trim = 320 mm 
435 mm bed + 30 mm trim = 465 mm 

Width & length allowance
The trim has a 30 mm overhang on each side of the bed, meaning 60 mm is added to both the width and length of every size.

Example

Without Trim: 1.20 m × 1.20 m

With trim: 1.26 m × 1.26 m

The same +60 mm allowance applies to all size combinations.

Natural timber movement and dimensional tolerance

As wood is a natural material, some movement may occur depending on environmental conditions. Shrinkage and expansion are normal.
