Parasitic Wasp Mix – Natural Aphid Control for Berries
Parasitic Wasp Mix – Natural Aphid Control for Berries is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Parasitic Wasp Mix – Berries is a biological pest control solution designed to target round-bodied aphid species such as Myzus persicae (peach-potato aphid) and Aphis gossypii (melon cotton aphid). This mix provides effective and sustainable aphid management, helping to reduce infestations naturally over time. As part of the control process, parasitised aphids may appear as ‘mummy’ bodies on plants.
How It Works
This specially formulated mix of beneficial parasitoids targets aphids at various life stages, gradually reducing populations. While effective against established infestations, it is best applied at the first sign of aphids or used preventatively early in the season.
Application & Coverage
Apply directly into the crop using the complete vial
Requires temperatures of 13°C or above for optimal activity
One vial of 240 treats up to 200 m²
What’s Inside?
Each vial contains 240 balanced mix of aphid parasitoids:

How To Use
How To Use
Use at the first sign of aphids or better, as an early season preventative. Apply as complete tube into the crop.
Temperatures need to be above 13?C at least for the species to be active. Please see the picture on the right for application, with the cane needing to be located as close as possible to the crop canopy and avoid getting wet

More Information
(Praon mix) contains a mix of Praon volucre (100), Aphidius colemani (40), Aphidius ervi (40), Aphidius matricariae (40) and Aphelinus abdominalis (20).
Mixes reduce the need for accurate pest species identification and are suitable for preventitive use against a range of aphid species, particularly in mixed cropping situations.
Praon volucre (mixtures only) controls a wide range of aphid species including a number not controlled by other available aphid parasites. It has a long life cycle.
Aphidius colemani is particularly effective against round bodied aphid species such as Myzus persicae (peach-potato aphid) and Aphis gossypii (melon cotton aphid). It is not effective against Macrosiphum species.
Aphidius ervi is specifically for the larger elliptical shaped species including Macrosiphum euphorbiae (potato aphid) and Aulacorthum solani (glasshouse potato aphid). Several other aphid species such as the pea aphid are also parasitised.
Aphidius matricariae has a slightly different host range to Aphidius colemani and includes Ovatus crataegarius (mint aphid).
Aphelinus abdominalis controls a wide range of aphid species including Macrosiphum euphorbiae (potato aphid) and Aulacorthum solani (glasshouse potato aphid). It has a very long life span.
