Aphidius Colemani 500

This natural aphid killer contains tiny parasitic wasps, Aphidius colemani, that help control many types of aphids in your garden. It’s great for preventing infestations, especially when you’re unsure which type of aphids you have.

Attracted to the aphids by the scent released from honeydew secreted by the aphids.

What It Does:

• Attacks different aphids, including round ones like peach-potato aphids and melon cotton aphids, as well as larger ones like potato aphids and glasshouse potato aphids.
• The wasps lay eggs inside the aphids. The eggs hatch into larvae, killing the aphids and turning them into “mummies” (golden brown or black). New wasps emerge from these mummies and continue to hunt aphids.
• Prevents aphids from damaging plants by sucking sap, causing sticky honeydew and sooty mould, or spreading harmful plant viruses.

1 wasp / mummy / 2 m2 per week. Increase to 5 / m2 for 3 weeks if small aphid colonies are present.

Apply fortnightly- to three weekly intervals.

Climatic conditions required:

12oC and above is required with efficacy decreasing above 30oC.

Humidity levels of 60-80% are optimum
