These 19mm aluminium hoop extensions increase the height of your existing garden hoops and cages, giving you more growing space for taller plants and protective covers. Available in 500mm or 800mm lengths, each tube features a 5cm swaged end designed to slot securely into your aluminium hoops.
How To Use Aluminium Hoop Extensions
Push each extension 20–30cm into the soil to create a stable base before attaching your hoops.
Height Increase From 500mm And 800mm Extensions
The 500mm extensions add approximately 20–30cm of extra height once positioned in the ground.
The 800mm extensions add approximately 50–60cm of extra height once positioned in the ground.
Fitting hoop extensions increases the growing height, which means you’ll need extra fleece or netting so the cover can still reach the ground on both sides.
- 500mm extensions: Allow around 90cm extra cover in both the width and length.
- 800mm extensions: Allow around 150cm extra cover in both the width and length.
